We can now display our right by using the ® symbol next to our trade mark whenever it is used. As the owner of a registered trade mark we have the exclusive right in New Zealand to control use of our trade mark. Our trade mark is an asset. We can:
a) Authorise or license someone else to use it.
b) Take action against someone who copies our trade mark.
c) Apply to the New Zealand Customs service to prevent the importation of goods that would infringe our trade mark.
